Saturday (day 20) was my Curves day. I did awesome! I am torn on the whole curves smart concept though. On the one hand I like that it tracks my progress daily and pushes me to do more (dig deeper as Shawn T would say...) but I feel that the program is more concerned with number of reps than with having good form. Regardless I progressed on all machines and burned well over 400 calories for my workout.
Sunday (day 21) was a rest day. But there ain't no rest for the mama. Yesterday was spent doing the things that burn calories but aren't considered actual work. Laundry, cleaning the house, raking the leaves and chasing the kids.
Today may be day 22 but it felt like day 1. Since last week I was recovering from the flu I took it easy. Still went to curves but missed 1 day of Insanity, did my fit test, and a day of cardio recovery. This morning I was back on track and pure cardio and cardio abs kicked my ass. cardio abs was especially difficult because I had Paul in my lap for the floor exercises. Nothing like an extra 20 pounds to help you find your core.
The upside is I feel fantastic. Just like that first day when I took my first fit test I am energized and excited for what lays ahead. Thursday will bring my monthly check in at curves so i will have an update on BMI and weight lost.
