goredgo Day 5- I can feel my body wanting it...

So yesterday was my curves day. For those of you just joining us I am doing a Curves/Insanity hybrid so that I can keep Curves free through my insurance. Normally, when I do Curves, I either stand still or march during the 30 second recovery. (We are not talking good 1996 marching band marching here either- it's pretty sad. Budd Malchus would shoot me.) Yesterday my body was not having it. It wanted to be doing cardio! By my second time around the circuit I was running during each 30 second recovery. It felt great.

Today was pure cardio. This workout kicked my butt, but you know what, I loved it! I did have to take extra breaks and my upper body strength is still crap but I know in another week or so I am gonna be able to rock it out. Pure cardio also made me realize that strength training is fine but without the high cardio workout my endurance will be in the toilet.

I can't believe that in one week of Insanity I am feeling better, sleeping better, waking up better (I used to love the snooze button), and I am able to run up the stairs at work without getting winded- a feat that has not happened since High School. Looking forward to next week!
