The best laid plans never seem to pan out...
I started this workout with every intention of getting up at 5:30 everyday and following the program. I have had several monkey wrenches thrown in during the last 16 days and this weekend was no exception...
Saturday (day 13) my workout was awesome! It was one of my curves days. I progressed on every machine and burned close to 500 calories. I was feeling great. I knew I was set to get back on track and really ramp up my performance on Insanity.
Sunday (day 14) was a rest day. My son had a birthday party. I spent the afternoon cleaning up after him. ( a little pizza, a little cake, a little ice cream) On the drive home I was feeling pretty crummy and realized that I had turned a corner. All of my good eating and exercising was really making a difference in how I was feeling and my body wasn't wanting the crap anymore. I was excited for the week ahead.
fast forward 6 hours.... oh wait! I had the flu. That's why I was feeling so crummy.
Monday (day 15) no fit test for me. Trying to intake fluids, get some rest, and recover from my 12 hours of hell. I really hate being sick.
Tuesday (day 16)- I am feeling a little better today. If I make it through the day feeling good I am going to get my curves session in tonight. I won't push it though since I am still recovering from illness. If all goes well with that tomorrow will be a normal Insanity day and Thursday I will double up on Insanity and curves to get back on track.
Here's hoping the next 6 weeks are free from illness, ER visits, and general mayhem. Stick with me folks! It's gonna be an interesting ride.
